Mump is one of the major and contagious diseases of world. It spread through one person to person through saliva of infected person that affects parotid salivary glands of infected person. Gargling with salt water, taking soft food, avoid acidic foods and fruit juice all these measures reduces the affect of mumps to the salivary gland. In case of Mumps antiboitics are not so effective, non-aspirin fever medicines like acetaminophen or ibuprofen are effective in getting down the mumps.
